MEXC review

7.5

Our verdict

A second account, not a first one. Use it for early listings and cheap maker flow; do not use it as your main custody venue.

What works

  • The cheapest headline fees of any major venue — 0% maker on spot and futures
  • By far the longest listing tail: 2,500-plus assets, often listed first
  • Usable with limited functionality before full identity verification

What does not

  • Weakest disclosure and support of the venues we cover
  • Thin liquidity outside the majors makes the low fee partly illusory on size
  • Promotional pricing can be withdrawn without notice

The full review

MEXC competes on two axes: price and listing speed. Zero maker fees on spot and futures is the most aggressive pricing in the market, and the 2,500-asset catalogue means small caps appear here before anywhere else.

Both advantages come with the same caveat: liquidity. A 0% fee on a book that costs you 40 basis points in slippage is not cheap. For majors the depth is adequate; for the long tail, size your orders for the book you can see, not the fee you were quoted.

Disclosure is the weak point. MEXC publishes proof-of-reserves but says less about custody architecture than Kraken, Coinbase or OKX, and support quality is the lowest of the group. That combination is why we score it as a satellite account rather than a primary one — a view we would revise if disclosure improved.

How we reviewed MEXC

We scored MEXC against the same nine criteria we apply to every exchange: fees, security, liquidity, features, ease of use, support, country availability, deposit options and long-term track record. Fee figures come from the exchange’s own published schedule (verified 2026-09-04), availability from its terms and support documentation, and the incident history from primary reporting and the exchange’s own disclosures.

This review was written by Vetted Exchanges Editorial Team and fact-checked by Vetted Exchanges Review Board. It is scheduled for re-verification by 2026-11-04, and sooner if MEXC changes its pricing, its country availability, or its security posture. Vetted Exchanges Editorial Team holds no position in MEXC or its token, and the affiliate relationship disclosed above played no part in the score.
